Irish interest in Jason Byrne

St Pats of Dublin are said to have already shown interest in the striker and now Cork City and Bohemians have both joined the race for his signature.

The transfer window does not open in Ireland until July but the clubs are jostling for position.

Byrne has scored just once for City, the winner at Wolves on his debut.

He signed from Shelbourne in January and started just two games and came off the bench in 8 others.
