It's the play offs for Cardiff City.

Crewe are promoted, congratulations. While mathematically we can be caught by Tranmere to stop us from being in the play offs they have to overcome a 19 goal deficit in their two remaining games. Their fixture at Prenton Park against Mansfield was abandoned today.

I feel better now actually knowing our fate. We had chances today, several in the 1st half and Andy Campbell had the best chance when one on one as the 90 mins came up. Good work by the Wigan keeper kept it at 0 - 0.

Wigan cruised and did not need to step up the gear they probably could have. Earnie missed out again on his 31st league goal and it's now over 6 hours since City scored a goal.

A windy and rainy Ninian Park was tense but supportive, no boo's and a big cheer this time when Lennie brought Ainsworth off on 87 mins. (The cheer for the players effort).

As I say, City had chances, good ones as well, a lot more than Wigan who did not actually force Alexander into a save of any note.

Bristol City were beaten 2 - 0 at Chesterfield today and they had two men sent off, QPR also had two men sent off both will be short of players in the play offs.

Wigan and Crewe are up, at the moment it's Oldham Bristol, Cardiff and QPR (in that order) in the remaining places. Only one point seperates the play off teams so it can swing any way.

Prepare to extend your season. 1st leg of the play offs is the weekend after the final game at crewe. Tickets will go on sale for the home leg this Monday, you will actually buy a ticket not knowing who we are playing or when but it will be valid for the home game of the play offs.
