Jamaica want Langley to play

When Richard Langley signed for Cardiff City he gave up his right to play international football for Jamaica. The club did not want their player away on international duty for several weeks at a time playing games across the Atlantic when Cardiff City were playing. Now it's reported that Jamaica have approached Cardiff City about using Langley when Jamaica's games coincide with European games so he would not be away from the club whe City had games.

Tony Vidmar plays for Australia who now base their international calender to match the European teams and they play their games in Europe as well.

If a deal can be reached than City would be boasting another international player and for Langley it gives him the chance to represent his country, surely something all players aspire to.

Jamaica are said to have approached City last week about it but nothing was concluded before Jamaica's latest game which was ironicallyagainst Tony Vidmar's Australia in Reading on Sunday. Australia won 2 - 1. It has not been completely ruled out though.

Langley is on the GTFM phone in tonight so we may find out some more information then.
