Jason Bowen has left Cardiff City. The club and the player have reached an agreement on terminating the contract.

Jason Bowen has been at City since January 1999 and featured heavily in the seasons up until 2002 / 2003 when he played in less than half of the games. This season he's seen action in only 4 games.

Jason Bowen has started 105 league games for City and scored 34 league goals.

Good luck to Jason Bowen who at 31 still has a lot to offer.

Bowen follows Mark Bonner and Layton Maxwell out of Ninian Park. With Scott Young retiring as well some of the older City faces are disappearing.

Robert Earnshaw is the longest serving player at the club. He joined as a youngster in 1997, then comes Willie Boland who signed in June 1999. They are the only two players who signed for City before the Millennium.

City now have 22 permanent players with squad numbers and Lee Bullock on loan.
