Terry's wife flew off to Dubai to get away from him and now it looks like Carlo Ancelotti has give him permission to chase after her and try to make it up to her.
His last action for Chelsea this week saw him mugged by Louis Saha who scored twice as Everton recorded a shock win over the Premier league leaders.
Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins said: "He will not play this weekend. Carlo is giving him a bit of time off.
"He will come back and prepare for our game against Wolves on the 20th.
"They just had a little chat, John and Carlo, and decided that would be the best for all concerned."
Chelsea could also be without Ashley Cole who took a knock in the game at Everton last night.
