Last night they beat a Man Utd side that ended the game with Rooney, Ronaldo, Vidic and Carrick amongst others on the pitch. The League Cup semi final, 1st leg was the second cup tie Derby have played this week following the 4 - 3 win at Forest Green on the weekend.

Derby played really well deserving their victory after Kiris Commons' rocket shot.

Watching from the Director's Box was new Derby manager Nigel Clough, his first official game in charge will be Saturday's match at Ninian Park. Sat a few rows behind him were Dave Jones and Peter Ridsdale.

All three will have been impressed with Derby and Commons in particular.

Hopefully Derby will get back to their normal league form on the weekend which sees them with only 1 win in the last 9 games.
