Jones gave his views on the actions taken by the club to avoid trouble and he also touched on an incident in Monday night's game between Birmingham and Wolves where an official was hit by a missile but the event got no media coverage.

"I don't know what more the club could have done," Jones told Sky Sports News. "They spent a vast amount of time before the game with the police trying to get it right.

"The person who threw the coin was ejected, picked up by the police one day later, charged and found guilty. What more can we do?

"They took every precaution but as normal it's not the right thing and everybody is jumping on the bandwagon.

"I think there was an incident in the game last night but we have to wait and see what the authorities do.

"The club did everything in its power and we cannot legislate for one person. What can you do?"
