Jones defends 'boring' performance

"We don't set out to be boring but if I have got to do it I will and on another day we may have scored," said Dave Jones.

"Our strength is attacking teams and scoring goals and there is still a lot of points up for grabs.

"We played our rivals lately and they have not been easy games and we haven't enough players at the club to give them a rest.

"It was two in-form sides slugging it out and we knew it was going to be a tough battle but it's another point and edges us closer to where we've never been before."

"I thought we might nick it at the end when we switched formation to play two up front trying to do just that.

"If you consider where we were in January then the players deserved all the plaudits as it had been a fantastic effort.

"My job was to make sure we stayed in this division, we have done that and now we can go on from here."
