Jones keeping top two in his sights

Dave Jones is not tiptoeing around the issue of promotion. He and his players are well aware they are in with a shout of a crack at the big time. He's well aware of whats at stake and how the players know exactly what the score is when it comes to the club's position.

Can we make automatic promotion?

"When the top two are within shot you have to look at it," he said.

"It's no good hiding anything from the players, they see the league tables.

"People talk about taking the pressure off the players, not talking about it or not mentioning the 'P' word. But why am I here?

"Hopefully it's to get us up to the Premiership.

"The players are here for the same reason and it's a massive incentive for us.

"That's why I don't go in for all this caution. They may talk about pressure but I've seen it at both ends of the table and I know the kind of pressure I'd rather have."
