Jones trying to tie up Koumas and Loovens

Jason Koumas will play the last game of his loan spell this Sunday against Coventry. The Player of the Season is top priority on Jones' list to become a permanent signing. Now Jones has to rely on his superiors to conclude a deal with West Brom.

"We know what needs to be done and Sam and Peter have got to do it but even the best negotiations never run as smoothly or as quickly as you would like," said Jones.

"Jason's a quality player and if we can keep quality players at the club then we will go a long way."

The Baggies are all but relegated from the Premiership and it was well documented when Koumas came here that he had no future at the Hawthorns.

Another player that Jones would like to secure is Glen Loovens. The Dutchman also plays the last match of his loan spell from Feyenoord this Sunday.

"Glenn wants his future sorted as his girlfriend is expecting a baby and if he is signed then there's one less position to worry about for me." said Jones.
