"It was not good enough and the back five didn't perform as a unit.

"There were too many individual mistakes and we're not helping ourselves by making too many errors individually and collectively.

"There was probably three players who performed and there's a lot of players sat in that dressing room feeling sorry for themselves.

"We are going through a patch where you are looking for your characters to come to the forefront - but they didn't do that.

"From start to finish, too many people didn't do their jobs. I tried to get back to what I thought was my strongest and quickest team.

"But we look laboured and there's no hiding place for the lads at the back as we didn't compete at the level we should be competing at.

"They haven't just lost it - it's still there - but they're not helping themselves in certain situations.

"They have probably made more bad decisions today than they have done all season."

"It was a performance that we asked for last week at Plymouth, when we lost 1-0.

"We didn't get the same quality in the final third last week as what we got today but you could see the confidence begin to grow at Plymouth.

"We got the early goals and then kicked on from there. I don't want to talk about individuals but the front three were superb and never allowed Cardiff to settle.

"However, we are still second bottom and next week's match at Leeds is a massive game."
