Kav apologises and calls for unity

"Every single person that comes here need to pull in the right direction," Kavanagh told the BBC.

"It is four games into the season and we're not playing as well as we could be, but it's certainly not a crisis.

"It's all about the next three games - they are massive games for us now. We need some confidence quickly."

"It hasn't gone according to plan - we know that," Kavanagh added. "We're not trying to shy away from that fact, we're not trying to make excuses either.

"But all we can do in that dressing room is look each other in the eye and know we're giving our all.

"Sometimes it's going to be good enough, sometimes it isn't. There is a little bit of confidence missing at the moment, but nothing a win won't put right."

City play Kidderminster in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, defeat there would heap more pressure and embarrassment on City, but more importantly City face two huge league games this coming weekend. Unbeaten Stoke visit Ninian Park on Saturday then City go to league leaders Wigan on Bank Holiday Monday.

There is unrest at the moment amongst the fans and there is a problem at the club, I don't know what it is but the performance last Saturday was a shambles, the body language on the manager and players was not that of a confident team. If it all goes wrong in the next 7 days then Kav will have to admit that there is a crisis.
