Kav set to play at Derby, Robbo could be on bench

Graham Kavanagh has come through training today and looks set to start at Derby on Saturday.

Lennie Lawrence told the official website that Kav has "risen like Lazarus" after being on his back on Monday and Tuesday he appears to be ready to play.

The one change to the squad could come with the return of John Robinson. Lennie has confirmed that Robbo won't start at Derby but could be on the bench. Robinson played 70 mins of yesterdays friendly win over Reading and he feels he could play if needed.

"Whether I am involved or not on Saturday is down to the gaffer and I know that together we will make the right decision," Robinson told the Echo

"At least though we know I can get through a game. Saying that, maybe another week of training would ensure I was mentally a little stronger.

"I will talk to the gaffer before any decision is made about Saturday."

Cardiff are therefore likely to start unchanged from last Saturdays draw with Nottingham Forest.
