Kav sold to Wigan. The wheels are falling off

A statement from Lennie Lawrence on the official website confirmed the rumours that broke overnight.

"The financial situation at the club has necessitated the sale of Graham Kavanagh to Wigan and it should go through this morning in time for him to be available for their game against Ipswich on Saturday," Lennie Lawrence told www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk

Firstly best wishes to Kav. The player himself is said to be as shocked as anyone that this has happened so quickly. Wigan will now boast a midfield consisting of three former City players, Kav, Gareth Whalley and Alan Mahon.

What next.

It looks as if the club is trying to offload anyone they can get money for. Rumours at this stage but but James Collins, Daniel Gabbidon, Paul Parry, Chris Barker and Jobi McAnuff have all been linked to other clubs.

The silence from Sam is deafening. Is this the end of the affair? Even the staunch supporters of the Chairman have lost faith. A new stadium is the least of our worries at the moment. Fielding a team for tomorrow is the first job, then staying in this division. It's all falling apart as the minutes tick by.

Can Sam ever face the City fans again?
