Early talks with Danny Coyne could not produce a postive reault and Danny has gone on tour with Grimsby. Lennie is prepared to talk again to Coyne on his return to the UK but in the meantime will take a look at Martyn Margetson.

Margetson will travel to Scotland with City next week and will play in one of the three games. City play at Ayr, Berwick and Motherwell during the 8 day trip.

"Martyn will be coming to Scotland with us and he will play in one of the three games. Which one I haven't decided." Lennie told the Western Mail.

"He had a good season with Huddersfield and he's disappointed that they didn't want to keep him on."

Margetson was offered a contract by Huddersfield at the end of last season but when Martyn returned from holiday Mick Wadsworth withdrew the offer.

Lennie confirmed he will try to speak to Coyne again

"I'm hoping to speak to Danny when he comes back and I'm still optimistic he'll join us, but you never know what's going to happen.

"Once I've signed a goalkeeper that's it - we'll be ready for the new season. I'll wait as long as I have to with Coyne.

"But we're pursuing all the options available to us. If Danny doesn't come here and Martyn impresses, then we'll try and sign Martyn."

As reported yesterday Lee Kendall has moved out on loan to Shrewsbury with a view to a permanent move.

City open up the pre season campaign at Merthyr tomorrow.
