Kind of Blue. Saturday morning music and chat

Last updated : 30 April 2004 By Michael Morris

Listen on 87.7FM in Cardiff or via the net worldwide on www.beatsfm.com

The usual mix of Studio chat, nonsense, mickey taking and Blues Music (well kind of blue anyway).

We have a recorded interview with city hero Ritchie Morgan. Ritchie played for the city in the 60’s and 70’s and was then unexpectedly thrust into the manager’s position. His team finished 9th in the old second division in the late seventies, and we haven’t finished higher since.

Ritchie talks about his debut, his time in management, getting the sack, and also talks about the legendary Robin Friday.

We have Wales hard-man Peter Nicholas on the Phone again, and we will continue our policy of “outing” closet Cardiff city fans on the air. To date we have outed Stevie Wonder and Jimmy Cliff (both secret bluebirds) and last week we exposed Ray Charles’ dislike of Swansea with his “Hit the Road Jack” Two more big names get the treatment this week.

We’ll also be talking about best and worst moments supporting Cardiff City and Wales.

Most of the studio chat is bluebirds based but we will take calls on almost any subject you like. Direct line (open from 10-05 am tomorrow) is 02920 222300.

Studio Guests are Nigel Blues and Mike Morris (who are they?)
