Last Championship place will be sorted today

The League 1 play off final takes place this afternoon between Swansea and Barnsley. The winners will complete the line up for next season's Championship.

Will you be supporting a fellow Welsh team? or hoping our bitter rivals get stuffed?

I have a good friend who supports Swansea. I'd hate to see him suffer with a Millennium Stadium defeat. I also support Welsh football and would like to see all Welsh clubs playing at the highest level. Of course with Cardiff being the best of them.

There's no doubt a Swansea promotion would spice up next season's Championship. On the field and most likely off it there will be a couple of huge occasions when the teams meet.

There's part of me though that would like to see the smiles wiped off the faces of Trundle and Tate for their antics the last time they played in the Capital and to teach Kevin McLeod to keep his comments to himself until he knows if they are promoted or not

"When I played at the Millennium Stadium for QPR against Cardiff, they had 35,000 fans and that was on their doorstep," he said

"But I look at Swansea and we've already sold 32,000 tickets and they're still selling, so in my eyes, I think we are bigger. Full stop.

"We've got a better ground and hopefully, touch wood, if we beat Barnsley, then we'll be in the Championship and you will see who has the better team.

"And I think at the end of the day that we've got a better team and the better fans."

Mr McLeod will have to eat those words if they fail to make it and wait at least another year before the clubs might play in the same division.
