Latest news from Bluebirds Downunder

Last updated : 17 September 2007 By Michael Morris

We have had an increase in membership in SA in recent months and although numbers are not large there are certainly more than enough for a drink and a spot of City Talk..

BDU Sth Australia organiser Andrew John has put together the event and we will be meeting in the 'Jacks' Bar at the;

Broadway Hotel
61 Broadway
Glenelg South, South Australia, 5045
Phone 08 8295 2175

We will have all the latest action from Cardiff City plus a brilliant highlights DVD of all the goals from last season. Thanks to Wayne Crichton and Simon Beddis from Valley Rams we will also have a variety of posters, fixture cards and other freebies from the club shop. Capt Rich will be in attendance but please don't let that put you off!!!

Don't be bothered by the name of the bar; by the time we have finished it will have been renamed the Bluebirds Bar. So, if you are living in SA, or have friends or relatives in that beautiful part of the world, spread the word and get down to the Broadway Hotel for a great Cardiff City evening.

MEANWHILE…BACK IN SYDNEY

Ok, APEC is over and the motorcades and security men have moved on. It's now safe for BDU in Sydney to get it's act together, and we are pleased to announce that the next BDU gathering is confirmed for Friday, 21 September at 7pm. We are sorry for the recent postponements to the Sydney gatherings, due to a variety of reasons, but its all back and happening with all the usual BDU members planning to get along. So, get along to the Kauri Hotel, where your host will be Martyn Wood. For more information call Martyn on 0425260008 or e-mail him on pennwood@tpg.com.au

As in Adelaide, we will have all the latest action from Cardiff City plus a brilliant highlights DVD of all the goals from last season. Ex-city player Spencer Prior has promised to attend, so this will be a great opportunity to meet a recent City star.

If you can't make the gatherings due to distance, but you do have friends or family living in NSW or SA please let them know about the gatherings. Anyone with a link to Cardiff City will be very welcome.
