"Dave just wanted to reassure us that we would get our money and I know he is a man of his word." said the Motherwell manager.
Chairman John Boyle is now optimistic the issue will be resolved to the Fir Park club's satisfaction. He said: "I am sure we will receive our money and this whole matter will be put to bed."
Gethin Jenkins told the press on Tuesday the matter will be sorted in "the next seven days".
