Lawrence vows to keep it clean

There have been calls from some quarters for City to adopt a more hard hitting "dirtier" style of of football to aid the City out of the 5 game losing streak.

Lennie does not agree and will stick to his passing game. City are second in the fair play league table for Division 1.

"We have to be combative but we are basically a footballing team and we are second in the fair play league," Lennie told the Echo

"Teams like Rotherham or Sheffield United are strong and resolute so we have to match them, but we also have to do what we do best as well.

"We have only had the one game where discipline went out the window - against Crystal Palace - but other than that we have been good. I see no point in changing because then you just get people suspended all the time.

"We will be seeking to keep our second spot, and get back on the winning trail. Before this bad spell we had five clean sheets in seven games, playing the same way with largely the same players so this side can do it."
