Ledley refuses initial contract offer

The home grown Welsh international is out of contract at the end of the season meaning he could leave for free.

Cardiff City have made an offer but it's not quite good enough yet for Joe to sign.

"It's down to the club. If they want me to sign, they have got to put a contract to me," Ledley told the Echo.

"I want to remain here and if the contract is right,I will sign it. At the moment the contract is not right.

"If it's good enough, I will sign it. At the moment, I'm still trying to sort one out."

It's the right of the modern footballer I guess to be able to hold out for more money. The club can't afford to risk losing them but when facing players demanding more and agents probably demanding even more again it places the clubs in a difficult position.

For the sake of the fans and the football let's hope they sort it quickly.
