A new contract has not been finalised at Cardiff City and with Joe being out of contract this summer there's a chance he'll walk away with the Football League determining a compensation package if he moves to another FL or Premier League club.

Joe says he wants to stay if he gets the right offer.

"I want to stay at Cardiff, of course I do," he told the Western Mail. "I'm from here and so is my family.

"It's not just down to me it's down to the club too and hopefully they can come up with something that is good for me and good for my career. Football is a short career.

"The chairman has not put a good enough offer in front of me - not as good a contract as I think it should be."

Joe will face Bristol City tonight before going in for double hip surgery that will almost certainly mean the end of his season.
