Alan Lee has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for the game against the Czech Repulic in Dublin next Wednesday.

Out of the squad is Graham Kavanagh who will miss the rest of the season and there has been no call for Willie Boland despite Lennie Lawrence saying he was in contact with Brian Kerr.

The full squad is

Squad: Given (Newcastle United), Colgan (Hibernians), Kenny (Sheffield United), Finnan (Liverpool), O'Brien (Newcastle United), Dunne (Manchester City), Doherty (Tottenham Hotspur), Cunningham (Birmingham City), Carr (Tottenham Hotspur), Harte (Leeds United), Carsley (Everton), Delap (Southampton), Kinsella (West Bromwich Albion), McPhail (Leeds United), Holland (Charlton Athletic), Kilbane (Everton), Reid (Nottingham Forest), Duff (Chelsea), Lee (Cardiff City), Connolly (West Ham United), Keane (Tottenham Hotspur), Morrison (Birmingham City).

The news was not so good for Neil Alexander. The uncapped City keeper has been left out of the Scotland squad for the game against Romania in Glasgow next Wednesday. Alexander has lost his place in the City team to Martyn Margetson and while Margetson has benefitted with a call up for Wales, Alexander's lack of firt team football appears to have cost him his Scottish place. Craig Gordon of Hearts takes Neil's place.

Four City players have been named in the Wales squad for the game in Hungary next Wednesday. They are Paul Parry, Martyn Margetson, Daniel Gabbidon and Robert Earnshaw.

Richard Langley's Jamaica play Honduras in Kingston while Tony Vidmar's Australia entertain South Africa at Leftus Rd.
