Leesy does it. Alan's winner makes Brighton Rock

Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside
I take my kids with me on City away trips, usually it's a drive in the car to the away ground and a drive back. Not really the most exciting day for them.

But coming to Brighton was different. We went on the train and arrived at midday in beautiful sunshine and headed for the pier. Dad was able to enjoy the sun with a glass of Brightons finest Kronenbourg while the young un's had the freedom of the pier to trampoline and go on the dodgems.

A taxi ride from the coast took us to The Withdean. It's only visible from about 50 yards away, basically it's an athletic track like Leckwith with temporary stands (see pic below).

As for the game City were 1 up on 13 mins. Jerome broke free wide left, his pin point cut back pass to Koumas was executed to perfection. City were testing the home keeper and asking question of the Brighton rearguard. We could not find a second goal though and it was 1 - 0 at HT

Brighton were a bit more adventurous in the second half and got lucky to equalise. A miskick fell in front of McShane and he couldn't miss from 6 inches.

Koumas. Excellent game
We have a different mentality now though at City. These games are not all over when we concede. Cardiff upped the tempo again and a sublime passing movement allowed Alan Lee to score his first goal since January and his first League goal in nearly a year. Not only that it was his first touch after only being on the pitch for 40 seconds.

Brighton had the odd half chance but it was a comfortable ending to the game as City saw out the three mins of added time.

Cardiff are now 9th with two home games coming up against Preston and Crewe. I hate to get cocky but surely we can get a couple of decent results. Enough, I'm not going to suggest we could be in a play off place by 5pm on Saturday (two defeats and we could be struggling near the wrong end of the table).
