Andy Legg has been forced into retirement from playing after fears that the cancer found in his neck may have spread.

Legg, a City favourite, has been playng for Peterborough lately and played his last match at Blackpool earlier this month. He has undergone surgery since then and suffered a set back when the glands removed were cancerous.

"Andy has been told there's a good chance the cancer may have spread, so he has been advised to give up playing," said his current manager Barry Fry

"It's a terrible end to a glorious career, and he has the sympathy of everyone at the club."

Good luck Leggy.
