Lennie cooling on Monkhouse and Bullock?

Things are not not coming together for a potential loan signing of Andy Monkhouse from Rotherham.

Lennie has told the Echo today

"The talks were bubbling along, but it's gone a bit cold at the Rotherham end. Chances of Monkhouse joining Cardiff City now appear minimal."

Rotherham stopped Monkhouse coming earlier in the month becuase of their injury crisis and City have since signed Paul Parry.

Lennie is continuing to monitor Lee Bullock of York City but the City boss is not going to watch him play this Sunday but instead will watch next Saturday's opponents Nottingham Forest entertain City's cup conquerors Sheffield Utd in round 4.

"There has been a lot of talk about Lee Bullock and we are monitoring his progress. We see him as a midfield player and York have been playing him as a striker, which they are perfectly entitled to do. We won't be rushing anything."

The Bullock issue was reported as virtually a done deal with Lennie going to offer £75,000 for Bullock after this Sundays game. The player himself was quoted as saying he would sign immediately. Maybe that was a bit previous. Time will tell.
