Lennie keeping quiet

The League Managers Association say they are shocked at the news of Lennie's dismissal from the managers role at Cardiff City.

Chief Executive John Barnwell is said to be in close contact with Lennie but because of a confidentiality clause in the new contract for Lennie's consultancy position he's unable to speak out.

Lennie has been one of the most open and approachable managers at Ninian Park but yesterday the Echo had no luck in contacting him with his mobile phones turned off.

Lennie was away in Norway last week on a coaching course when Sam and Pater Ridsdale met Dave Jones in London.

Lennie was said to be less than impressed by that news and then on Monday, after returning from Scandinavia, Lawrence himself met Sam in London and his management stint had come to an end.

Again City appear to have made a mess of the situation. The replacing of Lawrence has in the main been well received. The arrival of Jones is being looked at with optimism, his record is good. Fans felt it was time for a chance. But For Lawrence to find out that City were meeting his probable successor though is a poor situation. With over 1000 games under his belt you would have expected Lennie to have been treated better than that.

Good luck Lennie, Good luck Dave Jones.
