Lennie looking to Europe?

Schwinky winky. A teletubby could have done better.
Lennie Lawrence has told the Echo he will be looking at players from abroad.

"I have had players from abroad recommended to me and we will look at the best of them. We are not going to rush in and sign somebody on a recommendation, but I will invite players for a trial and have a close look."

Thankfully Lennie is being cautious in his approach, the last time City went continental Frank Burrows brought in a highly recommended prolific striker, unfortunately Jorn Schwinkendorf turned out to be anything but that. A 6' 5 midfielder that could jump 6' 4. He did ensure the club shop did a roaring trade becuase of the number of letters needed to put his name on the back of the replica shirts.

Lennie goes onto say

"Nobody has been invited over yet and I haven't identified those I would like to take a look at, but I want to ensure we don't miss out on talented players who could do a good job fo Cardiff City."

For now Lennie continues to track players in the UK with Gareth Whalley his top target. City will also have the services of Kristian Dimond from Crystal Palace and former Wimbledon player Ceri Hughes who are both on short term contracts with each player being given thre months to show what they can do.
