Lennie looking to loan

Lennie will have to act ahead of City's trip to Coventry on October 18th. The live TV game thats kicks off at 12:30pm. Kavanagh, Boland (against his old club) and Campbell will all be suspended.

The straight red cards earned by Willie Boland and Andy Campbell will earn them potential 3 game bans (Lennie will look at Campbell's sending off and appeal if he feels Campbell was harshly treated or take internal disciplinary action if it was a worthy sending off) and Graham Kavanagh picked up his 5th yellow so he will miss the one game.

Before then City face a daunting trip to Sunderland (Tues 14th October, 7:45pm). They will have the usual squad to choose from and possibly see a return for John Robinson who was not quite fit enough for the Palace trip. There was disappointing news on Alan Lee on the weekend. While he is making good progress and starts to train today in the pool he is still some way from playing with estimates that he could still be 8 weeks away from action.

Lennie is not a happy man and rightly so, he was let down by some poor performances on Saturday and ill discipline.

"We are going to have problems at Coventry after what happened against Palace," Lawrence told the Western Mail.

"As far as we are concerned, loan signings zoom to the very top of our agenda. Nothing else matters.

"What's more, if new players come in and do better than the players who are already at the club then they will stay in the side.

"Some players have put themselves out of the team."

"If I bring in new players and they do well then they will carry on playing. Simple.

"As for the players who were playing before - too bad. I need to freshen the team up.

"The whole things looks like it could do with freshening up."

"A lot of clubs are in the same boat as us regarding injuries and suspensions so that makes it even more difficult to get the right players.

"But after this match bringing in new players has moved right to the top of our agenda at Cardiff."

On Campbell's sending off Lennie said

"I will watch a video of this game and if I think what Andy did warranted a red card then it's possible I will take disciplinary action against him.

"If Andy did not throw a punch then there is a chance that his red card might be rescinded."
