"Gabbs won't be leaving in the January window. I hope he doesn't leave at all," said Lawrence.
"Gabbs is part of the foundations here. He has been outstanding in our recent games so the speculation is clearly not affecting him. I think he'll be with us for a while yet."
It's been widely thought that Gabbidon would move to the Premiership during January but so far there's been no indications that this is going to happen. Gabbidon recently signed a contract extention at Ninian Park.
When Earnie left last August there was speculation on a daily basis of his imminent departure, with Gabbidon it's different. Early rumblings of interest from Newcastle and more so Blackburn appear to have come to nothing.
Hopefully what Lennie says above is correct. I won't be 100% convinced though until Feb 1st when the window is closed.
