Lennie says no to Reo-Coker?

On Monday there were quotes from Nigel Reo-Coker saying he was due in Cardiff this week for talks but Lennie Lawrence has told the Echo that he is not pursuing the matter but there are no direct quotes.

The official City website however quote Lennie saying he has no arrangements to meet the player or his representatives. He does not rule it out though, just says that have no arrangements to meet.

City were interested in the 19 year old but it's Crystal Palace who are said to have made a £500,000 offer for the player. Sam Hammam made offers to Wimbledown during the summer for Reo-Coker and other Wimbledon players.

Reo-Coker's Wimbledon boss Staurt Murdoch has told Reo-Coker to wait until January and move to a Premiership club. Murdoch said

"The administrators gave him permission to speak to Palace, which is not a thing I would have done. But why move sideways when you could soon be making an upward step?

"I'm confident he won't be here for a great length of time but he's more likely to go in January when there could be interest from Premiership clubs and his options are wider.

"At least he'll know then whether there are bigger fish out there."

Whatever happens to Nigel Reo-Coker it appears unlikely to involve Cardiff City. Or does it?
