Will he get new deal?

After much speculation as to who stays, who goes and where we kick off pre season there will be a press conference at 1pm today which will be broadcast live on the internet via the Cardiff City World service on the official website.

Lennie will confirm who stays and who goes.

At the moment the unconfirmed reports claim

In negotioation - Andy Legg. Leo FW, Steve Jenkins, Gareth Ainsworth. All four are out of contract and may or may not be offered a new deal.

Told to look for a new club - Layton Maxwell and Des Hamilton. Both players have a year to run on there current deals.

Released - Mark Walton, Fan Zhiyi, Gethin Jones, Martyn Giles, Tony Wallis, Simon Heall and Andrew Jordan. These seven are out of contract and are now free agents.

One last player, Lee Fowler has returned to Coventry as his loan spell has ended.


As far as the pre season is concerned we are fully aware of Scott Young's testimonial against Charlton at Ninian Park on August 1st. We have learned that City are to play at Cambridge on July 26th and it should be revealed that the Bluebirds are going on a pre season tour to Sweden.
