1,000 plus and going strong
That meant that his 1000th match in charge of a football team would be the home game with Bristol City. Very romantic for sure.

Now though the Echo and City historians have analysed every game Lennie has taken charge of and it appears that early cup games have been overlooked by current data bases.

Lennie it would appear has already passed the 1000th mark, that came last season when City beat Port Vale on New Years Day.

City's boss is now on 1032 games but the Bristol City game will be highlighted as a landmark occasion for Lennie as reward for joing the 1000 up club. He joins the likes of Brian Clough MBE, Sir Matt Busby and current gaffers Dario Gradi and Graham Taylor.

However you read into it Lennie has reached a remarkable total of games.
