Leon Jeanne claims I'M INNOCENT

Jeanne has spoken to the Echo and explained his version of the events of Monday.

Jeanne has hit back at claims that he refused to give a second test

"That's rubbish. The drugs test people let me go after the first sample. Then they rang me later and wanted me to go back and give a second sample.

"I had given them a sample and by the time I rang I was with my children in Newport. I told them I would give another sample, but I couldn't go back then.

"I am clean, I promise you that. I have not been taking drugs.

"I will fight this all the way and I am going today to get my own independent test at the doctors. That will be sent in immediately and they will see I was not afraid to give another sample."

Jeane stressed again

"I am clean, I have not been taking drugs. My only wish is to play for Cardiff City and show what I can do. I am innocent and I will prove it."

The club have so far made no comment over the situation.

Jeanne is currently serving a 2 year suspended sentence. If found guilty of the claims made against him the FAW could force the 2 year ban and increase it substantially.
