Loan watch

C:WindowsTempphpE66C.tmpAs Loan Watch started on February 8th 2015, I've decided to do a bumper quiz to celebrate. As it's the first anniversary I'm putting up one picture of a player that Cardiff City have sent out on loan in that time for you to identify. Answer next week.

While I'm in a brainteasing mood, here's another question. Who does this player summary and rating from a weekend game refer to?

"Getting stronger and fitter by the game. Tracked back, was always a threat going forward and can be proud of this performance in front of his parents. 8/10 "

Is it a) Matthew Kennedy or b) Sammy Ameobi ?

Phone a friend time for most of you, I guess. The answer is in fact a) as Port Vale turned in an excellent performance against Coventry and were unlucky to only draw. Another good performance in that division came from Semi Ajayi as Crewe beat Rochdale 2-0. Ajayi and Ben Nugent are starting to form an impressive partnership as Crewe's results continue to improve.

Not much else to report. No game for Lierse this weekend while Joe Lewis and Adam le Fondre stayed on the bench for their sides. Tom Adeyemi and Eoin Doyle came on as very late subs but in Doyle's case it was significant as Preston scored an injury time winner against Huddersfield. Kenwyne Jones scored for Al Jazira in a 5-1 win over Dibba Al Fujairah.

Of our former players there were goals for Chris Burke, Paul Quinn and Jobi McAnuff, the latter with a long-range winner for Kevin Nolan's Leyton Orient at Portsmouth.
