Loovens hoping for all clear. Watford preview

The Dutchman has been out with a foot injury that doesn't appear to be too serious but it's a recurrance of a problem from last season and the club want to get the matter sorted. Loovens was hoping to get the all clear today to allow him to face Watford.

If he does play then it's likely Keven McNaughton will return to the right back position pushing Chris Gunter onto the bench.

Up front City have options. Robbie Fowler struggled to overcome a back problem that saw him only make the bench at Plymouth and he will face a late fitness teast before the Watford game.. When he did come on the game changed and City scored twice to earn a point. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink played up front from the start with Paul Parry but Dave Jones has a fit again Steve Thompson to throw into the mix. Thommo came off the bench to get City's late equaliser at Home Park and he could be the target man we have needed in recent matches. Joe Ledley should also be fit to play from the start if selected.

Watford, before Tuesday night's games, sit top of the table. They won 3 - 2 on Sunday over Southampton scoring a late late goal to earn 3 points. They have the likes of Marlon King, Nathan Ellington, Jobi McAnuff and Darius Henderson in the squad and will be a very tough team to face.

Watford have scored 6 goals on their last two visit to Ninian Park winning both games comfortably. City will have to deal with their pace and power to avoid a third home league defeat of the season and a third straight defeat to visting Watford sides.
