Luton game 'Not for the faint hearted'

Lennie goes back to Kenilworth Rd only two years after leaving the Hatters. He took charge for 250 games over 5 seasons. For City fans he will be remembered as the last manager to come to Ninian Park and face a Frank Burrows team. Only 24 hours after Luton beat the doomed Bluebirds in early 2000 Burrows was sacked. Relegation followed at the end of the season.

Things did not go so well for Luton. They went down the following season as City came up. In 2002 though the Hatters bounced straight back into Division 2 with Joe Kinnear at the helm. Fancied pre season the Hatters have made hard work this year but are getting there. They have the play offs firmly in their sights.

"This game will be a sell-out. It's a Boxing Day match and Luton will be really up for it. Kenilworth Road won't be a place for the faint-hearted. Luton will want to do well against us. I'm expecting a really tough game." Lennie told the Western Mail.

City face three home games in a row after the Boxing Day game at Luton. Huddersfield and Swindon come to Ninian park on Dec 29th and Jan 1st respectively (both 3pm) and then a break from the league as Gary McAllisters Coventry City visit in the FA Cup on Jan 4th - also 3pm.
