Malky Mackay confirmed this morning that as well as extended Rudy Gestede's contract he's also given a new deal to Joe Mason taking him to 2016.
Mason has been brilliant for City this campaign including a superb goal in the Carling Cup Final at Wembley (above).
"Joe has been superb this season and he is going to be a big player for us in the coming years.
"I am delighted he has committed to the club and signed this new deal."
It was confirmed last night that Gestede has a deal until 2014 and Mackay is excited by both young forwards.
"I think it's safe to say both have exceeded expectations so far so it was only right they were rewarded for their efforts," said Mackay.
"They also represent significant assets for the club so it is a sensible step to secure their services going forward."
