C:WindowsTempphpA610.tmpSoon after it was revealed that malky Mackay was set for a new job in the Scottish FA news came out that a £10m damages claim was ongoing.

The club have lodged a claim of dishonest conspiracy against Mackay, former director of football Iain Moody and three agents - David Manasseh, Rob Segal and John Inglis.

Cardiff claim the five men conspired to defraud the club in 2013 over Steven Caulker's £8.5m transfer from Tottenham and Peter Odemwingie's £2.5m transfer from West Brom.

The High Court in London is to decide whether the claim will be heard in open court or at a private tribunal.

Mackay denies any wrong doing and says that the issue was made clear to his new employer as it had when applying for other jobs.

"This is something that has come up in the last three jobs I have gone for. Same article, same person." he said.

"It was something I had spoken to Stewart (Regan, SFA chief executive) about , it was something my legal advisors had advised the SFA at an early basis and I categorically deny that I have done anything wrong there.

"There is no shred of evidence against me, but I do respect the legal process."
