Malky had to go: Hammam

Hammam is life president of Cardiff City and believes that the right decision has been made.

"The sacking of Malky was the right thing to do, the only problem is it should've been done a long time ago," said Hammam.

The split between Tan and Mackay meant that the owen and the manager were working against each other and not with each other.

"If they're not... perfectly synchronised and are not working hand in glove, it just simply is not going to work." Hammam continued.

"And because Vincent owns the club then Malky has to go. It doesn't matter what is right or wrong, or what Malky did - this is beside the point."

Malky had led Cardiff to a Wembley final, promotion to the Premier League and so far this season kept the club competing in the top divison whilst not falling into the bottom three but his diferences with Tan meant there would only be one outcome.
