"He [referee Mike Thorpe] didn't do us many favours out there. I thought Earnie's penalty shout was definite.

"But we've only got ourselves to blame again. Crewe's second goal came when we failed to prevent a cross. We simply can't seem to hold our concentration throughout a match - we are paying a high price for our lapses.

"We've seen a win turn into a draw. We have to start to learn how to chalk up a 1-0 or a 2-1 victory. If we don't do this, Cardiff will always be a team halfway up the league, they will remain also-rans."

"We were trailing in the closing minutes so I've got to be happy about getting a point.

"We had the perfect start, but Cardiff came back hard at us. I didn't see which City player handled the ball on the line for our spot-kick - maybe if they had gone down to 10 men the result would have been totally different."
