Manager's comments after City's win at Carrow Rd

"I think I can probably write the headline for you - 'A tale of two City's," said Grant.

"We've not played that great this season, but I thought the first-half was as well as we've played this season.

"We were on the front foot; we were positive in the things we've done; we played probably 95% of the first-half in their half - then we just invited them back into the game.

"We've got to try and get into that mentality of trying to play Championship football - we try to be clever and just invite trouble on playing square and back and Cardiff grew in confidence because we allowed them to grow in confidence.

"We won the game for Cardiff more than they won it themselves.

"If we'd have done the basics well, we'd have won the game comfortably - there's no doubt in my mind about that.

"We gave them it - we gave them the three points."

"I moaned last season we did not have enough players and yet now, even with injuries to Darren Purse, Kevin McNaughton and more, I was able to replace them and feel comfortable.

"After an hour I changed Robbie Fowler and threw on Paul Parry.

"That followed introducing Darcy and Whitts for the start of the second half. I have a squad of players now where I can change things and make us stronger overall."

Jones said: "It was Robbie's second match and that is difficult.

"After all the work he has done to regain fitness he played and ran against Orient on adrenalin.

"It's in the second and third games that it becomes a little more difficult. But the more games he plays the better and stronger he will become.

"It's a similar story with Jimmy. But they are on course and making good progress.

We probably dominated our five previous games to this and not got our reward from them," said Jones.

"Against Norwich, we rode our luck, it was probably our worst performance so far and we got away with it."

"Norwich will feel hard done by, but we deserved some luck.

"I've been told it's the first time we've come from behind in the league to win in two years, so it is pleasing to do that.

"But we're not kidding ourselves after this. We know we have to be better and stronger, but we'll take the points and jump in the car and get going."
