"We dominated the game for an hour and I don't remember Neil having a save to make until Leeds threw everything at us at the death.

"Jason floating between the midfield and their central defenders caused Leeds all sorts of problems. We took the initiative away from them because they had to change their system.

"Kevin Cooper came back into the side after having operations on his knees, and I thought he was different class. He worked his socks off.

"And Neil Cox played the full game even though he, and to a lesser extent Cameron, was ill the night before the match.

"That gave us a real scare and I had to drag two of our young kids up to make sure we had enough players.

"It was an abject performance from us, probably the worst we've produced in two months and everyone has to take responsibility for it.

"For the life of me, I don't know why we played like that. Answers on a postcard, please. My players know they let themselves down. Collectively, we were poor."

"We knew Koumas might get a free role and Cardiff would change to a 4-4-1-1 formation. Cardiff have taken all the plaudits and they worked their game plan well.

"We knew Koumas was capable of hurting us when he got on the ball, but he becomes an irrelevance if we do our jobs. In the second half Koumas didn't cause us any major problems.

"Cardiff didn't pose much of an attacking threat after the interval, but we weren't good enough to break them down. There was no spark to our movement. My players will get criticised and I don't like to see that happening, but I can't defend them on this occasion."
