"I was very happy with Michael Ricketts and the lad deserved his goal. He needs games and he needs goals, and hopefully, when fully fit, he may get back to where he was a year or two ago.

"His inclusion up front will take some of the pressure off Cameron Jerome and give the young lad a little bit more space. At the same time, he can learn a lot from the big man.

"We certainly needed our two centre-backs at the top of their form because it was a bit scary towards the end.

"It's a rollercoaster for us at the moment. One minute we're up, and the next we're down. But the last four games I have started to see progress, although there is still a long way to go.

"The players worked their socks off and deserved that little bit of luck, and this is a massive boost for us, particularly as the other sides around us have also gained points."

"I am very frustrated because our goalkeeper never had a save to make. We were the better side, yet we've got nothing from the game.

"I asked the referee why our goal was disallowed and he said it was for offside, so there is nothing I can do about that.

"I can't believe we have lost because we never seemed to be under any serious threat. We had a great chance to level in that hectic last few minutes, but it just wasn't going to be our day."
