"It would have been a travesty if we had lost. Did we deserve the win? Maybe.

"In the second half we couldn't get out of our half though which was disappointing but the defending was first class. If we can start scoring a few goals with that unit at the back we could still finish mid-table. If not, we will have to battle all the way until the end of the season."

"I thought we looked tired which surprised me a little bit - it must be all that running they are doing. I thought first half Cardiff were the better team and then it was much more like us in the second but you could see two teams scrapping for their lives out there.

"You can use all the excuses in the world - it was windy, the pitch was a bit bobbly - but we didn't play well first half. We got in front with a scrappy corner and I was disappointed by the way we conceded straight away. Some switched off and didn't do their job and we were punished."
