"We fought hard to stay in the game, and then we fought hard to get back into the game, and then it comes down to one mistake.

"When we got the equaliser we could put our foot on the ball, but he (Scimeca) didn't put enough weight on a backpass.

"He's frustrated but no-one will blame him. It happens."

"I thought it was my centre-halves who kept us in it. If Neil came for a few more crosses he wouldn't have so many saves to make.

"They get a lot of crosses into the box, and they made it hard for us to get out.

"But we were half a yard off the pace for much of it."

"There's an expectation here now. When it went to 1-1 I could actually hear some murmurings behind me which is incredible seeing where we've come from.

"I'll make sure we don't get too euphoric. There are 10 games left, and as it gets down to single figures it will be a case of 'you lost' and 'you won' every week.

"But we're up with the big clubs. Leeds have a game in hand on us but that won't be easy, and Sheffield United have spent money so the expectations there are high as well."

"It was naivety on our part that let Cardiff back in and things went on out there that we can learn from."
