Managers reaction to City v Sunderland

Lennie Lawrence

"I was very disappointed with the way we gifted them their goals as we made it far too easy.

"We had the better of the first half but really needed to be in front by the interval - there wasn't enough quality.

"We had a reasonable amount of the game but once again we failed to turn that into anything."

Mick McCarthy

"The goals we scored were of good enough quality to win any game. If we have any aspirations of reaching the Premiership we must win games like these.

"Cardiff only played as well as we allowed and I'm very pleased with the performance and the outcome. No team is that much better than any other in this league."
