Manager's reaction to Walkers stalemate

"I thought in the first half we probably shaded it.

"Kasper has made a great save, but we came out strong (in the second half); we hit the bar and for the first 10 or 15 minutes we were probably in control.

"But then we knew they were going to come into it. It was about staying strong - there were some good saves from Kasper and some good defending.

"We were never, ever going to have it our own way here. But I thought a draw was a fair result, and both teams had a good go."

The point followed up Saturday's victory over Ipswich, and Jones believes there is now plenty more room for optimism - after his position recently came under pressure at Ninian Park.

He added: "A point here is a good point. That's four points from the last two games.

"If we did that for the whole season you would be very happy - and we still have a game in hand - so it doesn't look as bad as what it probably did a fortnight ago. We have got to keep it going."

Ian Holloway

"We won our first game 2-0 - and that's the best 0-0 I have seen in a long, long time. It feels like a 5-0 victory.

"I couldn't have asked for any more from anybody - the ones who started and the ones who came on - I thought the commitment was absolutely top drawer.

"That's what I asked for - they know that's what I want."

Holloway has had little time to work with his players on the training ground since swapping Plymouth for the east midlands last week, with the Foxes' two games in three days hardly helping.

He is excited by the challenge handed to him by chairman Milan Mandaric.

"I can't wait to build something here - because that was electric," Holloway added.

"The longer it went on, the more you could see the confidence grow. How we didn't score, I really don't honestly know.

"More of the same, and I'm sure if we can get three points on Saturday (against Southampton). That won't be a bad start at all."
