"For our players' effort, commitment and defensive heroics at times, I thought 0-0 was a deserved result.\West Ham could readily say they had five or six chances. The one criticism I have is that when we got in their half we didn't pass it well enough.

"I thought the referee was excellent, it was like an old-fashioned refereeing performance. I thought he showed character and bravery and real spirit. He could have sent Gabbidon off, he could have sent Repka off and he gave two yellow cards out which is fair. He wasn't intimidated by the crowd he kept this thing flowing and I thought he did well. It's easy to say that when you've won but I have lost."

"Their keeper was very assured, it was an excellent display."

"I went to see the referee at half time to discuss a couple of incidents. I honestly didn't see his argument that another Cardiff defender was coming across to cover behind Gabbidon.

"I believe Gabbidon was lucky to remain on the pitch."
