Martyn Margetson trained with the City youth players this morning as the full squad returned from Lilleshall. Margetson will join the first team players and will be in the squad for the trip to Merthyr tomorrow.

Margetson will then go on tour to Scotland with the Bluebirds where Lennie has said he will play at least one game.

The former Huddersfield keeper has said his call up by Cardiff was "a dream come true". The 30 year old keeper was offered a contract at Huddersfield but soon after he sent i his signed copy it was withdrawn. He was disgusted by his treatment at Huddersfield calling it "shambolic". He was the first choice keeper as the season ended for Huddersfield in play off agony as it did for Cardiff City.

Margetson appreciates that he will be No. 2 to Neil Alexander if he does earn a contract but he's prepared to prove himself and put pressure on Alexander.

He and his wife are from South Wales they would love the chance to come home and bring their children up in their homeland.

Lennie will have next week to run the rule over Margetson before deciding whether to give him a chance or keep after Danny Coyne.
